Intown Atlanta Real Estate, (a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. Referred to as Atlanta Intown. The Metro area---loosely encompassing the Midtown area as well---interchangeable.)
General One of the fastest-growing cities in the States, Atlanta is the proudly modernized "New South". With a population nearing 500,000, Atlanta is a city of international influence and vigor. Razed to the ground during the American Civil war, the city was reborn and reformed as the birthplace of many African-American schools and universities. In later years, Atlanta also became the birthplace of the most noted civil rights speaker of all time---Martin Luther King Jr. Atlanta's climate is mild, with cooler temperatures moderated by the mountains to the north and warmed by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean. The area receives 50.77 inches of rainfall per year, with little to no snowfall.

Education Intown offers endless choices when it comes to selecting education. The area is home to an excellent range of private, public, Montessori, and religiously-oriented schools. One of the uncommon opportunities in the area is the Mohammed Schools of Atlanta---one of the very few accredited Muslim academies. The high number of schools in the area ensures that children always have easy access to education and that the surrounding neighborhoods are child-friendly. For post-secondary schooling, Atlanta is home to dozens of colleges and universities, including: Georgia State, the Art Institute of Atlanta, Georgia Medical Institute, Beulah Heights Bible College, Morehouse College, and Emory University.
Recreation Atlanta's size and scope ensures that the city has something for everyone, whether you prefer high culture, the nightlife, the outdoors, or consumer attractions. Two of the most prominent features in the city are Zoo Atlanta (currently featuring a giant panda exhibit) and the Georgia Aquarium. Though the city tends toward modern architecture, Civil War memorials and parks are dotted throughout the city in tribute to earlier times. For nature lovers, Atlanta has the Fernbank Science Center,Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The latter displays a number of endangered species from around the world as well as native Georgian flora. There are also extensive walking paths and outdoor flower exhibits throughout the city, though Grant Park has an especially heavy concentration of them. More singular attractions in the city include The World of Coco-Cola, and just outside city limits, Stone Mountain. For thrill-seekers, Six Flags has no less than three parks in the area: Six Flags White Water, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Six Flags American Adventure. Connoisseurs of high culture will be delighted with the Woodruff Arts Center, as well as the city's symphony and ballet company---the latter being the oldest established troupe in the U.S., dating back to 1929. One of Atlanta's better known sons, Martin Luther King Jr., is honored through a number of memorials; two which exist in Intown are the MLK Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and the MLK Jr. National Historic Site. For those who enjoy conquering the great Indoors, the metropolitan area of Atlanta is home to more than a dozen malls and additional venues, with everything from bargain to boutique.
